Rosebuds and lens flares

Mad Lady rosebud crown, shopakira fringe coral purse

So, the other day, Tim discovered these new amazing filters that his grandpa had purchased back in the '90s. There were almost ten of them, and they really made for some very fun experimentation! Anyway, I also got a new Macbook Pro (yay!), and my Photoshop had decided to stop working, so these photos are barely edited at all - which really allows for you all to see A) the power of the filters, and B) the skills of Tim!

Hope you like the photos!

Prints

Beach House Cardigan c/o Sugarlips Apparel, golden purse gifted from Dubai, loafers from Italy, shades coming soon to Mad Lady

Who doesn't love a good print-on-print-on-print? I really love to wear white during the summer (especially when I'm tan!), and this cardigan's interesting shape and detailing makes it all the more fun. I love kimono-style cardigans because the oversized fit is really a refreshing take on the classic! Happy weekend!

Blush

Throughout yesterday, I genuinely either A, felt like a Jedi, with my swishy big skirt, running to and fro, or B, felt like I should be drinking sweet tea in the south. I think I might be too imaginative or too much of a stereotyper. Silly ideas aside, I hope you all are enjoying the summer, and I just wanted to say that bell-sleeves are one of my favorite things at the moment. I have always been on the hunt for the perfect white summer dress - and I found it with an ASOS dress that I've shown on Lookbook (I'll wait for better pictures with it to show you!). I absolutely adore that hybrid between a 70's flower child and a barefoot festival-goer. With this top/dress, I almost hit home again, except it was too short, and now it's a tunic length on me. I really hate it when that happens with dresses. Being my height, it does happen too frequently.

I've been enjoying my summer so much with product sourcing, product descriptions, photographing, modeling, contacting bloggers/Youtubers, etc.! I've been kept pretty busy, but it's definitely a worthwhile experience.

PS. I'm planning to go to Tokyo in July - and am excited to visit my family friends there (I used to live in a small town next to Tokyo)!
PPS. Another realization that I came to is that I look kind of ridiculous in this hat when it droops more than it should. Ahh, well. I also want to dye my hair this summer - so hopefully you guys can see that soon as well!

Spike II

You have no idea how long I've wanted spiked shorts - and it's just my luck that I work for the most amazing store! Anyway - you guys can finally meet Mad Lady's newest collection of apparel. Visit their website, now (here)! I've been so busy with my internship recently, which explains the surprising lack of outfit posts! It was nice to get out in the sunshine and go on little-kid amusement park rides.

I had a photo shoot for a magazine this past weekend, and the photographer, Phil, was kind enough to take these photos for me! You can check out his lovely photos (here)!

Finds

There are these vibrant night markets in Thailand that I always love visiting, no matter which part of the country that I am in. I visited both the Fisherman's Village and Fisherman's Market in Koh Samui, and was lucky enough to discover quite a large load of jewelry, along with homemade coconut ice cream, mango sticky rice, and so much much more! I didn't buy as many clothes there, but what I did buy is in the wash.

 Konoc feather necklace
Luckily, this is one of the stalls where they actually have an online etsy store! I absolutely loved this little stall. I bought a few other things from the store that I will show you all very, very soon!
These lightweight hand-carved steel pieces are a few of my favorite purchases. The carving is so intricate, and I love how light the pieces are. I'm usually not an earrings person (I'm much too lazy), but the triangle shape and minimalist design was too lovely to pass on!

PS. Remember to enter the giveaway down below!

Dusk till dawn

Koh Samui has been amazing - the sun, the sea, the villa, the coconuts... but sadly it's time to go home now! I'm at the airport waiting for my flight, and I'm kind of scared to approach a summer of the unexpected - I don't know what will come next after summer ends.

I hope you enjoyed these photos, and remember to end my Romwe giveaway here, which ends in three days!
