I'm not sure what you guys usually like to wear to school/uni/college - but I generally gravitate towards neutrals and a monotone palette of blacks, whites, dark greys, and denim - especially during transitional seasons, and we all know that California is the queen of transitional weather! So, I guess what I like about subtle colors is how consistent and basic they are - and most of what I'm wearing happens to fit the criteria. While some may not consider this metallic skirt from Runway Scout as something basic - I feel that despite its tendency to catch light and consequently, demand attention, it is something that is at the same time, very versatile in its ability to marry so many other pieces of my clothing (these are the key pieces that I look for)! And as for my headgear, you all know how much I love blatantly obvious text on my hats - this beanie was sent to me by Mark from the lovely Tandem Label, who actually stars in this amazing band called Action Item as well! 

However, with my excessive beanie-wearing and skateboarding, I realize now that some people actually think I come off as intimidating or threatening, but in actuality, if you know me, I am the farthest thing from that (people actually laugh when I swear) - so when one of my best guy friends told me that he would be slightly afraid of me if he didn't know me, all I could think of was: Hashtag Fashion Problems.
