SOCK IT TO ME

Free People socks*, Jeffrey Campbell boots, Casio watch, Armani Exchange jacket, Brandy Melville dress, H&M hat, PS book bag

For me, when it gets colder, it gets increasingly difficult for me to pull myself out of bed, to will myself to detangle my limbs from fluffy blankets and stick my bare feet onto cool tile. In the same way, my lazy self absolutely adores wearing socks and oversized cardigans for the fall and to class. It's somewhat like "acceptable" comfy clothes for the public. For this very reason, I'm quite smitten with these socks from Free People, which are the perfect complement to my Jeffrey Campbell wrap booties. I had been looking for a pair of motorcycle boots ever since Balenciaga, Rag and Bone, Zara and Pierre Hardy all came out with these chunky, buckled boots, and I knew it was time to put my lace-up boots on the back burner for now.

NIKES IN PARIS

Monki t-shirt, Zara skort, plaid shirt, and bag, Nike shoes

Just another forgotten post from the depths of my time in Paris, which I am missing desperately! This was taken a night or two before I had to leave one of my favorite cities; and towards the end of my stay, I just could not walk in heeled boots and sneaker wedges any longer (I brought a limited amount of shoes for my stay). I resorted to wearing my trusty running shoes, which presented no problem at all, especially because I'm a huge fan of the sports-luxe vibe (which I think, at the present moment, is still here to stay! Thank goodness!) for treks to the 4th arrondissement to get almond-milk lattes and goodies to take home, like lemon-infused olive oil. I should also stop wearing head-to-toe Zara (but, really).

Still pining over my blistered feet from long walks, summer friends, and that delicious Parisian vegan food (it sounds like a paradox, but it really is delicious).

FLORA

MOOTTA sweater*, Zara dress

One of my go-to transitioning methods is tossing on a sweater (this one is from MOOTTA, a Korean-based company that sells both clothing and makeup) or light knit over a summer dress for fall, but this fall, I'll definitely be experimenting with a lot more different lengths, including maxi and midi dresses. I just love the look of long and flowy skirts under chunky knits - pair it with boots and you've got a rugged-factor! Transitioning pieces is part of what makes fall so fun for me, especially because it's not often that you get to wear pieces from both seasons. I've never been one to gravitate towards earth-tones over black, but the look of creams, taupes, and coffees just seem a little bit irresistible over my usual blacks and grays. Be on the lookout for a smattering of earth-toned outfits!
